There are some exciting things coming your way to welcome you to Hopkins over the next few weeks. If you have an international shipping address, you can pick them up on campus in the fall.
May
Submit your Reply Form and enrollment deposit.
The deadline to submit your Reply Form and enrollment deposit (if applicable) is Monday, May 1, 2023. This can be done in your applicant portal.
Get your Hopkins email address.
We’ll reach out via email in late spring with your JHED ID and instructions for how to activate your new email address.
Get to know the Student Information System (SIS).
This is where you’ll update your personal information, download important documents, and manage billing.
Explore your summer to-do list in Canvas.
Canvas is the student portal where you’ll find your list of to-dos to help you prepare before arriving at Hopkins. It includes information related to health forms, housing, dining, and orientation.
June
Consider housing and dining preferences.
Access the Housing Portal to submit your housing and dining plan choices.
Receive your advising assignment.
You’ll be assigned an academic advisor who’ll help you understand the requirements for your major (if you’ve already decided on one) and register for classes that’ll allow you to explore and develop your interests.
July
Register for courses.
After you get your academic advisor, we’ll send you information about registering for your fall courses.
August
Connect virtually with your First-Year Mentor.
You’ll be paired with a First-Year Mentor (FYM) who’ll help guide you through orientation week and navigate the transition to Hopkins.
September
Move in and participate in orientation!
New Student Orientation is a multi-day program for all new students (first-year, international, and transfer students) that will leave you feeling prepared and excited to begin your first year at Hopkins. You’ll find the information in your New Student Portal, which you’ll receive access to after you enroll.
